SVW 2015 Parliamentary Celebration

Posted on 25 Jan 2015

We're delighted to announce that we're hosting a special Parliamentary Celebration in the House of Commons to launch Student Volunteering Week 2015.

Two hundred guests, including representatives from dozens of charities, colleges, universities, businesses and government, will gather for afternoon tea at the Houses of Parliament on Monday 23 February, hosted by Julian Huppert, MP.

Student Volunteer of the Year Award

The highlight of the event will be presenting the Student Volunteer of the Year Award 2015. A panel of judges met in January to chose a shortlist of five and an overall winner from the dozens of nominations submitted by volunteering staff around the UK. You can read about last year's winner, Aidan Bannon, here.

Invitations have now been sent to all guests. We are also welcoming many students who have won tickets through an online ballot, or who attend colleges or universities that received grant funding for their events.
