Video blog: Charities and voluntary sector – get involved!

Posted on 9 Feb 2016

We know that student volunteering isn’t limited to opportunities organised within the university, college, or sixth form. Charities and voluntary sector organisations have a huge part to play in providing brilliant opportunities for student volunteering.

In 2016 there’s been a huge increase in charity engagement with Student Volunteering Week, so we’ve produced this short video to explain a bit more about the campaign.

This video has four key learning objectives:

1. What is Student Volunteering Week and who runs it

2. Why is it a good idea to get involved

3. How can you get involved

4. What are the themes for SVW 2016

The video is very short and offers an overview of these areas, to give you some context and history of the campaign.

If you're a charity or voluntary sector organisation and you'd like to get involved, please email us on info@studentvolunteeringweek.org.uk
